Looking for culture in Lafayette, LA

This was a side trip into Lafayette, LA following a little online research. Not enough research on time it turned out since I did not find it until it was to late in the day for the tour. Nonetheless I did get to take a few pictures of Vermilionville Living History & Folk Life Park

Even the parking lot reminds you of cypress bayou

Road from Southern CA to the Grand Canyon

Here is the road trip from Southern California to Arizona last fall

Mountains, highways, scrub brush, Joshua trees, cactii

  OH and wind generator farms

  Then more mountains

  And the Arizona State Line

 We switch to larger and thicker cactii

 Notice the sleeping girl profile in this mountain ridge, it's like watching the clouds...

 OK this collection is in a National forest 

Saguaro National Park

  Here we are headed north from Phoenix towards the Grand Canyon, and stopped to catch some sunset pictures
